Mansfield brawl pictures
Notts Police have released new pictures of a massive brawl in Mansfield town centre, which happened back on February 23rd.
A large group of Mansfield partygoers - out for a 19th birthday - clashed with around 25 men and women from Nottingham, who were celebrating a 21st.
The groups were aged from 17 to 50 and the fight started between them in the Banque Public House at around 10.40pm before spilling out into the Market Place.
Divisional case investigator, Joe Bushell, told trentfm.co.uk what happened:
'Tensions escalated into the street and we believe several people received at least minor injuries although none have actually been reported to us. We know passers-by saw what happen and may even have tried to break up the fight. We need to hear from those people, as they are crucial witnesses.
Brawling in the street is unacceptable behaviour, it won’t be tolerated in Mansfield and will be dealt with seriously.'

this happened to me once in the chad, when my mum seen it she rang me str8 away asking what id done and 2 mins after my sister rang me aswell, i dont think it looks like me tho

There's the problem - they went in the Banque - boy that place has gone down hill - can remember when it used to be rammed last off before heading up to Limo's back in the day.

Mansfield isn't actually bad for a night out - I've lived all around the country and regularly travel around the world and it stands in good stead.
For the size of the town there is a good selection of pubs/clubs and the walk distance between them is one of the best I have found anywhere.
Not aimed at any persons in particular (especially as I dont know any of you) but it annoys me when you get those people that come out with "Mansfield's a shit night out". These same people are usually the ones that haven't really been out in may other places and go to the same pubs, with the same crowd at the same time every week!! Of course that is boring.
It's the people that you go out with the make the nights. I'm out just about every week and it's still fun and fresh for me after 13 years!!
As for the dirty freqs thing...it's kind of a select crowd/scene - no matter where you lived there isn't much of a scene going on - at least not compared to say 10 or so years ago.

The pub culture/club culture in this country/world is shit
The last time i went out, all i could smell was BO and i got my drink knocked into me at least 3 times..
The only half decent place in mansfield is flanigans.. and thats cos my man ratus rep's some fresh hip hop/rap...
QI, Liquid and all the other establishments are full of pissed up twats fighting over sweaty skets
I might be biased tho, as i dont drink AT ALL
I havent been to mans for ages, I cant stand most of the pubs especially the hole they call Romans and the Swan. It's a shame really because I used to love it when we all went out in a big maxxd group.
Now I'd rather go down the local with my mates and have a giggle in a place where I can hear myself think and I'm only 27!

I must admit, my tolerance levels of some of the places in town are getting very thin. I don't mind Bar 19, QI and Late Lounge, but the rest of it does my swede in.

Ratus is a good lad, (very good DJ technically as well) and best in Mansfield at what he does/stuff he plays (if thats your sort of thing) but Flanny's/Bar19 whatever you want to call it is a complete shithole. By this I mean the actual bar itself - it's a right dive!!
If it wasn't for the crowd the music attracts and its location it would be empty! The beer is rank - the soft drinks are rank and I've even had a few dodgy near sell-by-date bottles in there when I've had the misfortune to be dragged in.
Liquid is hit and miss..you just have to avoid the nobheads - Qi - some of my crowd have issues with owners/management which make it awkward - so we don't bother. Lexus - rather be dragged down an alley and beaten!! LL - quality - hardly any trouble, usually no nobheads and great music. When Tim gets playing the retro dance stuff from the lImo's days he is quality!!
Anyway, sorry for the topic drift!!!
I quite like And Why Not and 53 (if it's still called that) but thats about it! Although I've not been in QI yet?!?

That is quite possibly the best post ever to sum up Flanagans, hopefully it's getting refurbed over the coming months though!
Flanagans maybe a shithole but it's the only place in mansfield that has maintained popularity and not had to change it's identity to please the punters.
