With show season now under way (Donny -> Trax

) I have started to think what else to do with my car.
At the minute it looks nice from a distance IMO but when you get up close its showing its age (10yrs) so needs a good bodywork overhaul. Obviously I am a 'cheque book' modder so will pay to have it done. The price I am willing to go is the 4 figure mark but not over it. And it should ensure my car can carry on motoring for a good 5 years and keep in good nick unless I bend it (Touch a forest I won't) as I do use it as a daily driver.
Now if it was you would you go ahead with it or would you think it would be better to put the money into the house deposit (coughskylinedonttellthegfcough) fund which is 2-3yrs away?
Thank you for reading

get spending it, i would. what happens if in 2-3 yrs u dont wanna house for any reason? u wud look back and think shit i wish i did what i wanted. well i wud anyway. what plans u got?
well....
Houses have to be bought its a fact of life unless you wanna live with your parents forever!
But...
It doesnt mean the car things can stop.
Its pretty much down to you and what you do with the ibiza and what you want to achieve from it
The punto for example, i pumped 10k into that car and sometimes i wonder what i would do with the cash but id have wasted it and the punto pretty much achieved all i wanted it to (mags, attention, top 100 etc) the harsh reality now is that its broken and worth around £1200. bit gutting but no one in this game does it to make cash
As for the liner fund, although its nice to have a liner it just wont stop there and trust me after spending 10k on the punto the 200 is already heading that route..with more power wanted and insurance and a thirsty appitite for fuel and rear tyres
My personal opinion is if your 2-3 years away get the ibiza as you want it. you nearly made it with the tango (RIP) so id go for what you want. even with the house its still possible to have a nd run a big power car..it just requires budgeting.
Although slightly ageing your car looked spot on at donny and you were the only one confident and proud enough to open it up something i want others to do.
live for today mate enjoy it while its there instead of wishing away like widdo said above
I'd definitely spend it on the Ibiza mate, live for the moment n all that.
Put in in the beezer!
spend some money on a new engine, nothing OTT but something a bit more powerful..
and the bodywork if you want.. maybe a few rally graphics?
do you have a cage already?
if so deffo rally graphics!
have your own made up so its 100% custom!
i'd design them for you if i could sneak maxxd.com or maxxd-motorsport on there somewhere

you cant take it with you so do what you want now as when it comes time to get rid you will be disappointed that you never did what you wanted to, thats half the reason i still got the red clio as its not to were i want it to be.

I would've done but mine's a bit embarassing to be fair lol
I'd spend it, you not be happy until you've got the car how you want it, so there's no point moaning about it for the next 2-3 years, make it to how you want it to look and you'll be glad you did.
then that gives you something to do this month for nationals jess!
What would you like to do with the car teddy?
Well no not really cos I can't do what I want to the inside of my car in a month! I just don't think leather interior alone is worth opening the car up for!
Anyways, I think Teddy's car looked spot on at Donny.

so why put on your spec sheet at donny one off leather interior if your going to hide it
and teddy think you should tidy the car up a resray little other bits but save some money for house/skyline fund
but car did look as good as ever at donny
I said I don't think that ALONE is worth opening the car up for. I need new subs and speakers etc.
Also the fact that i'd be trampling mud in and out of it all Friday so she needed a damn good hoover. Something i'm going to work on for next show, i.e put the old mats in and hoover the current ones and leave them in the boot until the stand.
I wasn't hiding it, my car has windows.

Back on topic.
What would you like to do with the car teddy?
Re-spray to remove dents, rust, faded bits
Whilst in for spray change spoiler for one that isn't a windbrake
Re-spray wheels
Paint front calipers white
Paint rear drums black
Fit BMC induction kit (Modified polo one)
FSE Powerboost valve (Maybe)
Bout it really
Ah crack on then!
You should have that done for nationals!

i aggree teddy you should mate little things but effective if done correctly. nice one
