Helium in tyres doesn't work....the molecules are too small to make it practical. All tyres are porous, which is why if you leave one long enough it'll go flat. Difference is when air is used in tyres it doesn't escape as easy due to it's structure (oxygen and nitrogen are both made from multiple particles). Helium however is only made up of single particles, and much smaller than the microscopic holes in rubber so will escape in no time. It's been done to death in motorsport and nobody has ever been able to make it work, it just can't be sustainably contained in a tyre for any length of time.
stupid french cars have to many wires lol

i wud take mine out but im not losing me heaters, not when i sleepin in car at shows lol, also the glove box is a lifesaver as its only place in car i have to put things.

Eberspacher make mobile diesel heaters that you can take out Icon_smile
bet they dont make mobile glove boxes lol. for what a 106 dash weighs, its pointless takin it out.

What about using an isotope of helium mixed with nitrogen? That would create a plasma lighter than air but far denser not to leak and the higher than normal levels of nitrogen will stop the rim from coroding.

Ive used helium and nitrogen mixes in lighting because when sealed with mercury balls and pumping HT through the tubes creates a slow moving sparkle and the gas keeps its strength for years and all that keeps the gas in is wax.

agreed, most of these rallye cars dont weight to much and taking a dash out is more for people who are able to have a second and leave thererallye car at home which for most of us is difficult.
what difference does that make d?
It think he's just referring to practicality issues. Fully stripped cars with no dash or heater are a great idea at car shows or track days, but the daily commute at -1 isn't so clever. There were days when I was driving the Firebird looking out of the side window because the windscreen was steaming up quicker than I could wipe it down.
thats one of the reasons my heater box is left in. lol.
