i had a go with one of these last night, set it up right, set the angle up right etc.

stopped on a flat duel carriageway in worksop, waited till it said go and floored it, came back at 6.56 secs. the speedo was just over 60 at the time, i think it should be about ryt as it looks it in comparison to my 1/8 mile time and speed at pod.

not bad to say i had quikgtimike in the car and a passenger seat too lol.

anyone no owt about these? reliabilty? as some ppl on 106owners say there pretty accurate.

cheers Icon_biggrin
What is it like?
What type was it? I've got the G-Tec Pro RR, lovely little gadget. Used to have the older type that you had to tilt to get level, but the newer ones have 3 accelerometers so no need to have it level. I had mine in ready for the pod, but as I didn't run I cant comment on accuracy although they are supposed to be good. Digital Tacho on it used to work fine, but since I've had a re-map I cant get it to work properly no matter how much I calibrate it. Quickest I've got was a 3.8s to 60, that was on a slight down hill with a 7000rpm launch.

G-Tech.
me and mike have looked into getting one...

Mike timed my car with the phone and got 6.5secs to 60

Was it easy to set up Widdo??
It'd be interesting to stick one in the Camaro for a run and see what it comes up with.

I got 5.3 seconds using my Seiko sports watch.

You got a cigarette lighter in there? You can borrow mine if you like? G-Tech that is.

No fag lighter but we could rig something up with crocodile clips and bullet connectors I'm sure Icon_lol

I'm not sure whether the unit would handle the vibrations to be honest, if we hit tyre-shake it'd probably ruin it in all honesty. It would be nice to try though anyway.
