It's Dead!
The engine went last night while on my way back from ripley down the a38 so its now got to be taken to charlesworths at donington where i baught it from to be diagnosed and fixed! had my cousin whos a mechanic look over it this mornin, something to do with distrubitor thats gone on it,apparantly cylinder 2/3 aint firin, phoned nissan as there are no patternd parts for it, and its £595 WITHOUT VAT for the distributor!
thats just for one part out of a list, also needs new plugs/leads rotar arm, and thats just from a quick glance over, so it shall be a while till its back!
Thing is there probably talking nigh on a grand for parts and labour to do it, and i can buy an s14 turbo lump for that! only problem being as its warranty it has to be fixed as normal, shame i couldnt try and get a new turbo engine out of it though

with the thread title, i thought you'd binned it!!

£1000 is a lot, but we have recently paid over £700 just for as new gearbox, clutch and starter motor for a 1.4 polo..

So i feel your pain!

seen you driving round town aswell in it mark what time did that happen then?

Can't you put in a turbo lump?

If you've got a warranty on the car you can't really do owt none standard with it until that runs out, well that was the case with my uncle I dunno about Mark.

i went to scrappers yesterday (deatons at staveley) there are 3 in there with the same engine as yours all with distributors. hope this helps

absoloutly gutted but nothing i can do, anoying thing is, it will cost about a grand includin labour to put right, i could have a turbo for that, foookin warranty

fuck the warranty off and get an engine that should b in ther.

Would go for the turbo lump seeing as warranty doesn't cover fuck all these days.

so much for jap!! the only reliable jap you get is toyota and honda newish ones
