Alright everyone, i am looking to get a new exhaust but dont want to get a sh*&e standard one, so i was looking on ebay and have seen some cheap and cheerful nice looking SS backboxes. I just wanted to know if you guys could tell me if they sounded nice, if they give a nice sporty sound.
In all honesty it'll probably sound like a goose farting in the fog, but it's hard to say as they're all different. Aside from the fitment issue though as a budget mod they'll be sound I'm sure.
how much you looking to spend coz to me if you want a nice sound then i wreckon cobra backbox i had one and it gave a nice deep not over powering sound you can purchase them off of #

I have around £50 to spend on one i may be able to push to £60 but im saving for a holiday so i just want a quick solution to a small problem, my current backbox knocks and has bits inside the backbox itself and ive been told to get it out it has to be cut open so i think the best thing to do is get a new backbox and thought a universal one was cheap and effective where would i get a cobra one from ?
have you got someone to fit it?

There will be an element of welding and grinding involved with the universal fit backboxes.
I havent got anyone to fit it no i was going to take it to B&M tires in town near superbowl but i have an uncle that is a mechanic at worsop ford.
If you're going to need to pay someone to fit it then I'd buy one the is made for your car, even if its second hand. At least then you'll be able to fit it yourself with little effort.

Yeah but second hand exhausts for 1.1 saxo's are really hard to come by on ebay their all furio, vtr and vts backboxes or exhausts thats why i thought about a universal one, i dunno if anyone will know on herre but will a furio, vtr or vts backbox fit my 1.1?
If it's just a backbox then no doubt a Furio one will fit yeah, I wouldn't discount a VTR or VTS one fitting either.
how can i make sure of this though before i commit myself to buying a backbox from ebay or another internet based website
ya cant m8 but any backbox wil fit any car with modifications, just buy one ya like then see ya unle about fitting it, it shouldn't be etoo hard.
yeah cool, does any of you know like an everage price to havin a backbox/exhaust fitted at somewhere like B&M tires
saxperiance.com or .co.uk

or saxo sports club will be able to tell 100%

As said anything "Universal" usually translates as Pain in the ass to fit
Cheers ollie i have just left a thread on their forum so lookin forward to hearing if they can shed anymore light on the matter but you lot have gave me some good things to think about cheers i appreciate the help and advice alot Icon_smile
