Hi guys and gals,
Right in need of some advice here!
basically....... i need to know peoples thaughts on what i should do in regards to welding my diff, now i know most people will say dont do it, However, iv been told providing its done properly its not a problem, also if i get it done, does anyone were i could take it for it to be done?
And.......... anyone know of any people selling any cheap ass 17's as i need some spare rims for driftin, i THINK the offset is the same as a primera gt however i havnt been able to confirm that so if anyone knows please let me know!!!!
And......... (not done yet)..... anyone know were i can get a bucket seat that someone who isnt built like a twig can fit into? whoever saw me at fast show knows i aint the smallest lad, all the seats i try are way to small for me to get into. it sucks!

Thanking yaw!

i would say they be no good for drifting need to something to hold you in place and they dont really

dude if u weld ur diff it will drift better but it will wine like fuck not good for normal road use cant relly go round corners turning circle fucked if ur offset is the same as mine ford probe wheels fit if ya get 4 ill have 2 off ya u coming to dwyb when we go get me number off ol star and give me a call ill help u all i can
iv seen the recliners at JTF but as said above i need a seat im actually sat in for drifting, hence the problem of trying to find one thats not about 4" wide Icon_lol.
at the moment the car is for everyday use, and it will be for the next couple of months until i get my other car for a run around, i think im going to have to go down the welded diff route though as its free for me instead of spendin a bunch of cash on an aftermarket one.
here's what im doin to the nissan;

spare wheels coming this weekend; 16inch split rims;

bucket seat;

finding a way to make the handbrake release button stay all the way down

adjustable suspension

camber arms

hicas lock off kit

and finally shim your diff!!! go on to skyline owners .com and type in shim your diff....im going to do it soon Icon_smile
I think you'll soon get bored of a welded diff for everyday use mate but you'll have to see how you get on with it. A 2-way locker like a Cusco one would be loads better though. I can understand your thinking though, if you can get one welded for nowt then it's hard to resist.

As for buckets, there's thousands on eBay for not bad prices. My Firebird had a Cobra Monaco S in it and that was great.
cusco 2 way locker diff would be nice but all depends on the cash situation for one! im going to check ebay for the seats.

F.A.O jody - go to driftworks.com for a handbrake button, there £5.50 mine has one. just push it in and it locks, turn it to the right and pull out to use as normal, there mint!
all you need is a locked or uprated diff mate

i did use my car everyday the diff will not wine its not to bad driving on the road only time i noticed any probs is if your turning around in a car park etc but anythin faster than walking speed and you cant tell you have it locked !
no matter how good you think you are you cant drift without a locked or 2 way diff yes you can get it sliding but as for fast big drifts its just so hard as one wheel spins and ya look a fool lol
pm me if ya need any info pal i do drift demos etc
