New Clutch Fitted!

Big thanks to Simon and Luke @ SR Motors in Meden Vale top job lads

And thanks to Luke and Meatball who came to my aid as the clutch gave up completly 1/2 mile from my house on the way to the garage!

Car feels a lot different especially at the top end where the clutch was weak - and it was shagged!

Looking forward to monday now!!!! 2NZ!
nice one dave glad you got it sorted
Plugs are in...Not a straight forward job on the SR!!!

First you have to take off the cover then unclip the elec ignition lead and unscrew the what i assume is all 4 coil packs on top of the boots then squeeze a long ratchet in and then find something magnetic to extract them! took like 45 mis for just 4 plugs!!

Oh and cheers to HJ for this pic i recieved...

Smoke them tyres up bitch!
Really have impressed my self with the pic lol

Loving your new alloys... really suit the car...
cool pic + agreed the wheels look mint
Wheels do look mint mate, they'll hurt your et though. You oughta bung some little 'uns in the boot for track action.
i did.....

couldnt be arsed to change them though...there was beer there Icon_wink
Fair point Icon_lol
Latest "Little" bit.

Drift Button!

Apparently you just press it and it turns you into a drifting pro!

or

It stops your handbrake from clicking so you can rip it up and down.

Anyway cheers to Stu for sorting it will have it fitted this weekend

can ya not read mike, buy him the parts needed and hell fit it Icon_wink

Right....PTM is looming, yet another chance to gove the car some much loved Strip action

And of course to beat that Pesky 106 GTI...

SO Today i began...

OPERATION WIDDO MAKER (Geddit?)

Firstly Todays Task was to Fit My APex Performance Type1 Front Mounted Intercooler

The standard one is pants and small and wing mounted as you can see in the pics, so the increased size and cooling should alow me to run that touch more boost without melting things and gaining more power from cooler inlet temperatures

So first thing this morning i removed the Headlights, Grill, Sidelights and Old Intercooler Hot/Cold Pipework..

Then Screech and Mike arrived to give me a dig and we cracked on removing the old Intercooler and Front Bumper

Washer Bottle had to be removed and modified so that can be seen draining on the left...

With the old Cooler off, you can see the difference in size and quality should make a great differance to the car

Old is on the right in case you were wondering!

Offerend up the New FMIC with a bit of pissing around and lets say persuding it to fit using the Angle Grinder and attatched the Hot side of pipe work

Hole had to be cut in the battery tray for the cold pipework and that was more of a task than we thought!

Piped up the New Cold side and refited the lights tidied up and took her for a shake down run
