10/40 is mostly what we use at work and thats citroen engines basically the same thing so id personally get something around those lines
do citreon do an engine simular to the 306 rallye?
mate its a 2.0litre 16v engine wether it says rallye down it or not it was built by the same company. yes it may have modified parts that makes the engine work twice as hard,, just need a little more looking after

just need a little more looking after

That's why ideally 50 weight will be more suitable than 40. It will be fine on 10w 40, but in something that may see track use or get thrashed then it's worth going with 50w
off topic kinda but what do i need to put in me 106 gti?? for track use etc.
Same again dude, I'd go with 5/10w 50 for a track car.
yep i am gonna run it on 10 w 50... just got to buy some now...
who stocks it?
I'm pretty sure Halfords will have 10w 50.
halfords do not have 10 w 50 they looked at me gone out. then questioned why i wanted it. Stupid halfords staff.
Soooo... demon tweekes?
If you're struggling then 5W 40 is very similar. I know for a fact that Driftworks do Silkolene 10w 50 though
my old work nitro performance in chesterfield stock loads of assorted millers oil try giving him a call 01246 230200 tell him neil who used to work there told you to call
Matty isnt replying tho....
Thank you Nez will give them a call

Not all halfords staff are stupid... 10/50 isn't used that often by regular motorists it will protect the engine at hight temperatures so better for track use and stuff, but how many people do that, a cruise around mansfield circuit is not quite the same lol
Peugeot recommended a 10-40 semi oil for the 306 2.0 engines..
If you do want fully then halfords only do :
Mobil 1 Motorsport 15W/50
Mobil 1 0W/40
Halfords 5W/50 Fully Synthetic Track Day Stuff
Halfords 5W/40 Fully Synthetic Oil
plus some castrol ones i cant remember
