I have picked out some of the styling cues I want to carry onto the T4:
Big gloss black/anthracite/semi polished rims with low profile tyres
Red brake calipers
Deep air intakes and fat, smooth bodykit
Projector spotlights
Honeycomb style grille
Red grille detail badge/outline
Projector/crystal/LED headlights with black bezels
Crystal indicators with black bezels
Crystal LED repeaters
Tinted glass (smoke)
50/50 door mirrors (white/satin black) with inbuilt crystal LED repeater/sidelights
A,B,C,D pillars black with matching scuttle panel
White door handles
Crystal LED taillights (50/50 red/clear)
White/Chrome tailgate trim
Wurth black number plate surrounds
German style numberplates
Chrome tailpipe
Roof spoiler
Some of the bits are available aftermarket from Germany but some of the mods will require repainting chrome parts white, chopping up new parts and the like.
I'm not scared of this (ask Alanman - we were raised on filler and fibreglass!) but some careful planning will be needed to get it right.
The white/black look has been attempted on the T4 but as far as I can see, not at this level yet.
Here is a mates panel van with my old Cayenne S rims on. He is adding bonnet vents, tailgate moulding, later wings (with the vent) and a Projektzwo grille at the moment.
Here is a van with a typical kit on. OK, but it doesn't go far enough IMO:
Finally, the picture that set me off - a panel van lowered on Porsche rims in gloss black. The contrast between the rims and the body makes me believe its do-able, with the right parts.
What do you think?
