With the local scumbags running riot - stealing and torching cars - I want to fit a decent car alarm. The current one is OK, but a bit of an unknown.
I don't need anything that plays numerous sirens, starts the engine or activates neons - just one with 2 remotes, activates central locking, flashes the lights, immobilises and has a visible flashy light warning. With old school cars most of the techno features seem a bit pointless. I just want something that makes a noise and stops the little b%^#@~ds taking it.
Has anyone had experience of the Hornet/Python range from Directed Electronics? I read that they are made by the same people that do Clifford and lots of the options seem compatible.
Price is a lot lower - I just wondered if there were any major downsides.
