hmm not to sure, im gunna fully clean and polish the throttle body, heard these get realy dirty quik on 106's. might even tek glove box out and wear me shorts n t shirt lol.would it be worth havin a remap before cams?

if you have the map then cams, then you will only need to map it again to get it running right when the cams are on.

I think you need to bare in mind bics maxi only does high 13's
The lad with the bodied high spec saxo on here did 14.1's
14.5 is amazing mate but the only "cheap" way of beating a 14 is gonna be nos LOL

well with all interior in with no seats, i did a 14.89
with everything gutted i did 14.52
so thats 0.37 secs with just removin interior.
i can deffo put more power down on the start, just need more practice, every run i did got faster, i never slowed down on a run. but i raced till the very last car and ran out of time. 0.5secs is a lot yes, but to say i lost 0.37 on removing a bit of weight i wudnt say it is impossible.
and the tyres are budgets, sounds daft i no, but iv heard they really are mint tyres for 29quid a corner lol. im thinkin of lowerin the front 55mm and keepin back 35mm. also some smaller wheels with performance tyres.
im NOT givin up till i achieve it. i poss will carge/turbo it one day, but my aim is to beat the 14sec marker on a N/A
NOS will put you in class B as its A Power Adder.
So to try and get on top you need to stay NA
Perspex windows? Dash Out? Mirrors off? Stiffer rear suspension? headlight out?
i seen a few cars run up with no bonnets on
you could do that as a bonnet weighs quite a bit and the colder air
perspex windows mate imagine how much glass ones way?
or half a dash? lighter steering wheel?
Remove the sunroof and mechanism, replace with either a sheet of ally welded over, or perspex in the rubber seal, Perspex windows, fibreglass panels e.g doors, tailgate, wings and bonnet. Cheaper than carbon and just as light.
Oh and I wouldnt advise running without the bonnet, its not all about cold air, dont forget aerodynamics
i been speaking to some one off 106owners who has a mint turbo'd gti, he said cut hole in back bumper, as i have no spare wheel, its acting as a wind barrier. but not to cut holes in front bumper as it will cause drag. also take dash off, gut in fully of sound deadening. take bumpers off, cut away the insides. he has even grinded the insides of his doors away lol.
also some 13's for the front with 70 pro tyres, and some 165 wide wheels for the back. also lower the front end 20mm lower than the back.
