That car is a credit to you Widdo. Its fantastic!!! Keep up all the hard work.
just polished it, done engine bay, everything lol. also got it ready for the track at donny Icon_biggrin

haha, cant beat tape over the lights!
plastic lights ftw Icon_wink
havnt updated this for ages sooo....

Car is away in the garage till nationals due to insurance.
today i have..

removed air filter
coil pack cover
rocker covers
ecu cover
and some other stuff i dont no name of lol

the engine is gunna be thouroughly (sp) cleaned in the next two weeks.

dont no whether to respray the rocker covers yellow again, or to sand it down to chrome.

also im unsure about the future of the car. i test drove the car i want next, a nissan 350z today. and tbh i am not overly impressed, it aint a lot quiker than my gti. but i love the look, sound etc of them.

if i do keep mine then it will have:

sparco buckets (fixxed)
catcam 708's
port n polish
remap
some form of bigger brakes
extensions to the rollcage makin it a full car cage.

but what will be done for nationals is..

Engine bay fully cleaned and shiny
Rear strut brace welded in, in yellow
wheels re-yellowed on the edges
santa pod number off back window lol.

heres the engine at the moment.

Stick a bin bag or something over the engine if you're leaving the rocker cover off for a while. Even with the bonnet down shit will find it's way inside.
Looks a little slow to me mate Icon_wink

*So glad i can say that now lol

Does this mean your bringing it to nationals?
he mentioned to me he's insuring just for the weekend at nationals
yes i should be mate, 90% should be, just hope it all works once its all back together, good idea il stick bin liner over it. started to clean parts already, god it takes ages lol
dude DO NOT fit a rear strut brace as there a waste of time on any car with torsion bars, and if u got a sunroof iy will actually start kinking it around the edges of it and its just extra uneeded weight.
oh ryt i didnt no, i was just gunna put it in cos it luks good lol
started to polish the rocker covers. what a pain, they wer pro done before and loads of paint, i used carb cleaner and sprayed it over the paint, came off like a treat. i have only spent 2 hours on it up to yet and the outcome is looking good. heres few pics..

also got a cleaner induction kit pipe off ste..

and started to clean the parts of engine bay that wer ditched lol..

good work mate and u say 350z's are slow i no they will do alot more than a gti, and yes that v6 sound is amazing. looking good with ya rockers mate. makesure you seal them down well enough when re fitting
Get that Bay clean it will be on display at Nationals!

That goes for all you Motorsport bods...
