Retro stylee....
It can be done, but most people go for the predictable german look instead.
Loads of inspiration in Golf+ magazine where someone has backdated a Mk1 Goof.
Here are some I have spotted....

I have seen better in the mags. Chequerboard pattern flooring/stripes, retro diner style interiors, 2 tone paint, slammed with chrome caps and painted steelies/whitewalls just looks soo cool and they are much much better than bays to drive/sleep in etc.
I don't think ppl go retro enough with them tbh. They take it well and I think there is scope for pinstriping (but nothing 70's with curves), hot rod, diner, cafe cruiser styling.
Have a word with Olstar - sure he has ideas/thoughts on this as its similar to retro-ing a Caddy - same era etc.
