Not gonna get much for that price range. id have thought if your after a big engine then an old prelude would be your only option. the 2.2. vtec is capable of 0-60 under 7 secs so plenty of poke ofr not much dollar under your right foot.

them smarts are a bag of wank lol. im sure any car wud be better. surely u can pick up a old skool crx for 2k?
should be able to get a EG/EK civic coupe for that money
Shop around and try and get a VTEC version if you are going Honda

check for real abuse and super high mileage, remeber the VTEC engines love to be revved so driving them hard does them no harm whatso ever!
The EG certainly suffers from a little rust. arches tailgate etc.
There are 3 varietys to go for 4dr, 3dr and 2dr coupe
Obv if your looking about the older CRX's still can look cool and go well and you may be able to stretch to a del sol?
Just check for history too, as if the car is an Import it may affect your insurance.
Diference between EG and EK if your not aware take a look in the gallery - Jonny T's is EG and Meatballs is EK.
