:boogy:Well, where do i start with this one......
it has got to be one of the best prepared and most successful event ive been to in a long time! the atmosphere was brilliant! everyone sharing thoughts and interests in what they love all in one place!
It started of a little eventfull! heading to woodhall found out there were major delays on the M1 so managed to contact everyone and arrange diversions so to miss it all! thankfully carl (big audi) knew his way from J30 to rotherham without touchin the M1!
So after a few little hi-cups (Ravey lost use of his wipers on the Ibiza so had to stop in half way and perform emergency repairs) we managed to get into rotherham and to the Fire station!
On arrival, we were greeted by a few EC members collecting donations and selling raffle tickets towards the south yorkshire fire service. then proceeding through the gate Hilly flagged us in to a special area set aside for us! so we all parked up and made are way into the fire station, where Carl had moved the Audi inside with a few other kitted motors....
Then the fun began!!!
South yorkshire fire service demonstrated the procedure of safely removing an injured person from a crashed car, by cuttin the roof off!!!! everything done as though it was a real accident! followed by a 2nd demo of how to remove an injured person by taking the B pillar out a 5 door astra!!!!
There was plenty on show, some fine motors, burger van and even a reaction test simulator in an EC members scooby!
then before it got too late the raffle was drawn and :boogy: i won 1st prize!!!! £240 worth of megs cleaning gear!!!
the event was very successful! Even the rain didnt spoil it as everything was inside the firestation, well done to EC, South yorkshire fire service and police. look forward to the next one!!!!
