My car makes tapping and knocking noises when driven over a big bump. Ive checked my exhaust and that seems not to be loose , any ideas ????

id guess at suspension?

check ur exhaust isnt sat on the axel aswell tho sum muppets that fitted my mates exhaust just rested it on the axel so it tapped all the time.

It's not tapping mate it's the rust has kicked in that much the sub frame is cracking

Sounds like one of the arm bearning have gone or a bush

its a fiesta yes but it was really quite to drive. its a zetec sport so the engine is really quite.

i would guess at the drop links or the struts.

ur wheels are on tight arnt they?
