10-09-2007, 04:36 PM
im trying everywhere for insurance on a civic type r, corolla T sport or something simular.

Corolla T Sport would be cheaper to insure than a CTR with them being a 1.8 and not a 2.0, not too bad on performance but have to rev the tits off them to get it going, by which time most cars have left you for dead.
If you do get one, try and find one with full map sat nav and leather in red or black

whats an ek9?
11-09-2007, 12:48 AM
I should slap u for saying that but ill let off as its a rare special beast
Honda Civic Type R EK9 has a 1.6 VTEC and uses the B16B Honda engine produces 185ps @ 8300rpm. it wast never offically imported into either Europe or USA
In the May 1998 issue of UK's Performance Car, a JDM Honda Civic Type-R was tested in a special hot-hatches feature. These figures will send shivers down the spine of many of our less informed maxxd members not naming any u know who u are
A listing of some of the critical standing acceleration numbers are as follow:
Distance Time 0-60mph : 5.7 seconds 0-100mph: 17.5 seconds 0-1/4mi 15.0 seconds at 94mph Top speed was not tested as all JDM Hondas are speed limited like ure starlet.
The Civic Type-R bested the UK version of the Honda Integra Type-R which has a derated 190hp engine (and similar quad headlights front facial of the US version). The UK's Integra Type-R obtained values of around 6.2seconds for the 0-60mph dash but a faster 17.1 seconds for the 0-100mph dash
put your turbo round that

I think that your forgetting that the Starlet is only a 1.3 mate so its going to be cheaper than quite a few cars out there, hence why loads of people are buying them.
