i know ive asked this before, but that was wen i only just won the auction on ebay and have been busy fitting my new turbo since, now its time to fit the catch can but im not 100% sure how to connect it up, so if any one got any pics of one fitted or even can tell me which hoses to connect to it would be a big help, cheers
Fitting an oil catch can's simple enough for any engine mate. You should have a breather hose on the rocker cover somewhere, disconnect that and blank it off (the other end), then connect your catch tank to the breather instead. The outlet side of the tank can be left to vent to atmosphere, or a bit better is to attach a small K&N filter.
This is for a (non breather configuration)
Can you see a pipe that comes from the rocker cover on the left (it's metal) Fit the inlet of the tank there. Then connect the outlet of the tank to the turbo hose (just after the air flow censor) where the old pipe connected
which one is the inlet on the catch can? there are two connections at the top of the can and one at the bottom on the side?
What brand of catch tank is it? It's unusual to have 3 ports. I'd use the one at the bottom as an inlet and either one of the top two as an outlet if it were mine, but without seeing it it's hard to say for sure.
Aaaa you have the return one
The hose at the bottom is the return that goes into the oil return. I wouldn't have got that sort chap for the mr2. the top to feed to the locations as i've posted

it wont cause any problems will it? can i just blank it off? n if not, when you say oil return u mean the same place as were my turbo oil return is?

i dunno what brand it is, its one off them on ebay
Yea mate you can blank it off. The two holes at the top of the tank are to be connected to any as it's just really a pot with two holes in the top.
If you want to use a breather then blank off the turbo hose (where the air flow censor is) and fit a filter to one of the hose on the tank. So you'll just have the rocker cover feeding into the tank and nothing else
