Full Version: removing the crap that trims leave behind?

can anyone tell me what will get of the ticky glue and crap that is left on your paintwork after you remove door trims and such?

Brake cleaner brought the glue off the punto easily.

NOTE - Thats Brake CLEANER not Brake Fluid!!! Icon_wink

i wouldnt be using that if i was you, it removes all your polish and will eat into the laquer and paint. any residue left on will do damage and if the paints thinner then its gonna fade easily.

on my car i had the same problem mate heat it up n it peels right off!!!

use a heat gun if you can get hold of one otherwise a hairdryer could possibly work

maybe boiling or hot water to?

well turps worked fine with my car. just putting forward my opinion
RAC spray polish and leave it to soak in, worked a treat on my boot badges (oh and add a little bit of nova ollie elbow grease Icon_wink )
