i keep thinking of selling my 106, last week i nearly brough an S3 a 2000 plate, had a drive and although it was fast, comfy, looked ace... it didnt put the same smile on my face that the 106 does...

Peugeot 306 1.9 DT - Crashed
Peugeot 306 1.9 DT - Sold
Peugeot 106 Rallye S2 - Slagged, Tracked Then Sold
Renault Clio RenaultSport 2.0 - Tracked Then Sold
Seat Leon FR - Broke down after 3,000 miles!! German Crap! French stuff never broke down !

buy the audi. you can have it mapped to nearly 200bhp for 400quid by REVO

tell me thats guna be less fun than a 106! i realy think you will be much happier with an audi in the long run!

I would go for the Audi, depending on Milage , condition etc

The GTI would be a fun little car and would make you smile..............

But the Audi has got massive tuning potential. As Aidan has already said REVO can do stuff for good power gains and have not got stupid prices

And ive been told the nearest REVO place is Rainworth Skoda, so you wont have far to go

as long as the audi has been serviced properly mileage is not even an issue, it WILL go on to do 200,000miles without replacing 90% of the car like you would a french car!!!

go for the audi, you wont be disapointed!

I used to have a 106 GTi and i absoloutely loved it. It was amazingly quick and they look awesome.
The only problem was, i had nothing but trouble with the electrical side of things and it used to go through LOADS of lambda sensors. It used to misfire, had a new coilpack, driveshafts went etc.
It had 6k worth of engine tuning done to it so i guess theres bound to be things that go wrong.

As for the Audi... yeah they're nice but i'm into my little cars! It depends on what you prefer!

its all good saying get the audi trust me when the clutch goes you will know about it, as it's so expensive torepair or anything on it(as i learnt week after buyin the car), when i had my a3 1.8t sport all it did was spin,

id say have a look around see if you find something diffrent

id deffo go for the audi, at the end of the day a 106 gti is a basic car with a good engine. wer as the audi is more luxury whilst still having a good engine
