*REPORT* Ultimate Street Car USC 2008
there wasnt a formal report, so i thought i would make one!

the show started off well.. decent weather and a nice spot for camping meant everyone was in high spirits..

there wasnt as many maxxd people as there was at nationals, but i did notice EVERYONE sat round in 1 big circle initially - which proves that the Maxxd team spirit is still going strong Icon_smile

Plenty of track action, PLENTY of drifting..

http://www.maxxd.tv/play.php?vid=149 <0- TJ and topo doing what they do BEST!

I dont have any pictures, but the two cars that stood out to me was the JDM (yes, i meant to write that) civic with the mad camber on its back wheels, and the ratty polo (the mint with the hole)

I know ollie has pics of both, so will await his pics and top ten etc Icon_smile

Got any stories to add? Fi_lone_ranger

RE: *REPORT* Ultimate Street Car USC 2008
Quality weekend.

I'm just starting to "get" the drifting scene, a couple of years ago I didn't get it at all. This was helped this weekend by Stu giving me a pasenger ride on Saturday. Its harder than it looks from the sidelines. All I can say is "Poor cars" and I can see why Ollie has resisted the welded diff thus far. lol.

The show and shine on Sunday was really busy, loads of cars, some not really worthy but some quality ones too. We defo need to step up a gear if we want to keep winning stuff. The Cab still get the attention from the general public but needs some work if we want to impress the judges too. Think its time for another new coat of paint and some more work inside.

Anyway, all in all a good weekend and little trouble that I saw anyway. Meatball is a legend and should come to all shows. He made Saturday night for me. If anyone else was acting like he was they'd be ridiculed, but for some reason Meatball can get away with it.

RE: *REPORT* Ultimate Street Car USC 2008
Good weekend, although I was working for the majority of it..

Managed to see a bit of racing and had a quick walk around but did not really get the chance to see much..

Had a couple of passenger rides with Jody and that was about it..

Weather stayed nice for most of the time, I thought it was gonna throw it down all weekend but luckily it held off Icon_smile

Big thanks to Screech & Rob for taking the marquees, Ollie for the table, Jody for filling his car to the roof and for the awesome Drifting footage, Gaz, Clare & Stu for the use of their cars on the trade stand and anyone else that helped out.

RE: *REPORT* Ultimate Street Car USC 2008
I got way too drunk fri and sat and ended up falling asleep so missed most of it lol, lost a huddy in the dance tent on sat night which pissed me off a little, but I had a great time just sat round my campsite drinking all day. Had a stagger over to the Maxxd camp, got a couple of vids of the strip and thats about it. We nearly got thrown off site on the first day for doing a burnout on the back of a trailer which I'll try and find a vid of and I also got a vid of one of the people I was there with putting a CS gas grenade in one of our camps caravans while two people were inside.
Got me motivated to get my cars finished for next year.

RE: *REPORT* Ultimate Street Car USC 2008
It was my first USC and I have to say that it livedup to the hype ive been getting of ollie for how many years and IM glad I came, Cooper u missed out you big gaybear.

I have a few stories but can only remember a few I think a hypnosis regression session could bring the rest out or a few days at boring work.

The whole spirit of the site made it for me athough most of the people I saw werent, how do i put it fashion enlightened like me (ie they looked like devo impersonators) they were not dickheads, highlighted by me doing a random beer bong with some ruffians on the saturday night.

My personnal highlight has to be sat on the corner of the campsite encouraging people to nearly crash and abusing gay rs4 owners.

Also making new mates not including the Welsh blokes, u know who u are.

My car highlights were the old mercs slammed and the said civic with stupid rear camber.

My downers were being smashed in the head with the table every time ollie braked, cleaning sick off ollies van being poo tashed by stu and facially raped by stu and being an extra from rawhide.

All in all It was a great show, so dont be a hater and be envious that you missed a great show hahahahahahaha

plus Rob your car ainght JDM gay boy

RE: *REPORT* Ultimate Street Car USC 2008
i am in the process of uploading loads of pics so get to see them all very soon!

Great Weekend as per usual, most of the highlights have been mentioned

Thanks to Stu, Tj, Topo (Has your clutch gone mate? Icon_wink) and Jody for Umpteen passenger rides drifting....i may have resisted this long...but i aint sure i can do it much longer i can see a weld torch and my diff meeting each other soon!

anyways, something no one has mentioned, i assume cos there wernt many of us to see it but big up to Nez, after spnding all week, cursing swearing and getting his wallet out on his scoob, he managed (I think if i remember) a 13.87 1/4 mile which must be damn quick as he has beaten me Icon_wink - Were going head to head next time nez, well done mate!

The JDM Cambered civic is THE mutts nutts, head and shoulders the best car on that site i have loads of pics of it!

1. Top 100 Show Car 2. 13 sec 250+bhp RWD monster 3. Daily runabout well detailed 4. New Toy..The Track Car - but i know fuck all about this scene........

Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.
