*Report* Trax - Silverstone 09

A Very early start lead us to the last main show of the year, Trax @ Silverstone!

I had a very eventful day with the first outing of the track toy but read all about that in my project thread!

The show itself was very busy over 2 hours just to get in!!! and our club stand along with others were thrown in a separate area which wasnt ideal.

Ken block performned but hed no real room to do anything sure impressive, and i never got to see any drifting!

Walking round there are lots of Owners clubs still dominate the show, TheMGZR, saxperiance and Astra owners clubs had large prescence

Weather was good and there were some real weapons out on track ,and im not just talking about me and teddy!

honestly one of the busiest trax's ive seen even teddy said its getting as big as it was a few years back, i think maxxd camping may be on the cards should we go next year!

Some organisation is defo required for the staff for next year to get everyone in, but everyone had a great laugh as always and even with all my "Adventures" even i enjoyed it!

Was a very eventful day but really enjoy it!! Glad Ollie eventually got to go on track thought the Corolla looked good on there!! Also very pleased I was right for once in regards to 'Vertigo' being an illness people can get an not just a name for people who's scared of heights!!

Had a good day. Would have been better if i had not be too late to sign on as media, and my car turning into and oven and cooking its engine, killing its clutch and not going into gear!

Other than that the show was good, missed Ken Block and didnt take many photos as the stand was so far away from the show i didnt go back for my camera till just before Ollie was on track! Drifting was mint and Remmo in the BMW is the best drifter i have ever seen, and the MK2 Escort was EPIC!

Was nice to see the Corolla finally on track and going well. But maybe next year we will go early like i said and miss the traffic or camp over!

Still my favourite show of the year, was an ace day, had plenty of laughs, drifting commentator, crazy dutch drifters schmoking da special cigarettesh and the guy who according to Ash "was just spilling out 'A' levels".

Was very busy and from looking around at a few pics and when we were driving out, I must have missed a fair chunk of stuff, and was a bit miffed about the power steering belt shredding itself on the way down, so having to cut it off in services at 7.30 in the morning with blunt scissors was lots of fun...not!

Anyway top company, top car, top show, top day out.

trax was good, mint convoy down there chasing things cos people was going to slow until a rx7 was ppopping flames at me so gave up on that idea.

the show itself was good - ken block was disappointing, we was too far away so by time i got to middle of show i just wanted to sit by track and watch it.

one best bit was watching a gt4 go round track thinking it should do well - just as it went to overtake something i blinked and it was in gravel trap (winno found it amusing and didnt let me hear end of it)

overall high light of day was seeing the red and white fighting car on track!

I'm gutted that I missed the show, have heard nothing but good things about it.

Nice to see the credit crisis aint affecting the scene that much
