*Report* Steel City Cruise 29/12/07

Well!

Firstly it seems Fecking ages since i have been to a decent cruise, secondly it seems ages since maxxd took more than 3 or 4 people anywhere

Tonight BOTH those dissapeared with a cracking cruise and plenty of maxxd members old and new nipped up the road to sheffield to have a look!

Set off on time (and we had clare there) and headed for Crystal peaks in Sheffield the convoy got split but all made it in 1 piece despite a white Novas best efforts to crash into us in a desperate attempt to race a certain supercharged Yaris!

Cruise was quiet when we arrived but soon got very bust until the car park was pretty much full, wide range of cars appeared

Managed to get some photos (went round whilst the older contingent went for a ovaltine in KFC) and as per usual have a top 10 best of for ya!

Higlights later on were a Green Liner a 200SX and AE Corrolla that trated us to a little drifting until....

Jim bowen arrived in a security uniform to spoil the fun! Meatball entertained the masses for a few mins then we decided it was cold and were heading home, a riot Van kind of helped make our decision too!

Anyways thanks to all who came, especially Widdo for gathering his entire phonebook and clare for making an effort event though the poor lass is clearly struggling...however i got to have a go on the Scooter (Which attracted some real interest!) and got it on 2 wheels!

Top 10 cars of the cruise (Including 3 from Maxxd!), check the gallery for the rest of the pics!

1. Old Skool Mk1 Escort, stripped out very cool!

2. Another old skool car the Mini cooper but them pods just made it stand out!

3. A little different and im sure not everyone will like it but a civic headlighted orange hyundai Coupe got some attention

4. Very Very Clean and smart 3 Series BMW

5. Ricky_mitchells Honda civic looked really fresh and attracted lots of attention, needs some maxxd stickers though mate Icon_wink

6. Awesome awseome awesome! This top 10 isnt ranked in order but this IS No1! AE86 Corrolla Levin

7. The Green Liner that kept the crowds entertained and added all the exitement throughout the night!

8. Craig (Another maxxd member) with his Slammed C2, lookind good glowing up and helping rickys civic to attract the crowds

9. Ok, so its Euro but it was very well done very subtle but head and shoulders above the rest of the euro tat - it was this white Passat

10. Looks like it should be in Mad Max, sounds like you need ear defenders, the rawest and most attention seeking car of the lot, its Lee Aka eightsmokingbarrels Pontiac!

A cracking night, and good to see a few old skool motors doing the rounds, just a shame it was so cold (despite the best efforts of the R33 to warm up the crowd!).

Hindsight tells me I should've put a "for sale" sign in the Firebird as there semed to be plenty of interest....oh well!

Was a great night.

The skyline driftingg was the highlight of the night though, best when he got the lad out the crowd in the road and did donuts round him and about flattened his foot lol
