the day started of nice and early(well maybe not nice but defo early)
after we all finally met up our convoy started off and true to form BIGCAB broke down

but after waiting for alan to get back from fetching the jack to sort out a oil return pipe that had split and me ryan alan and al all getting burnt trying to sort it, we finally set off and reached the show 30 min later after bumping into claire and alans mates to show us where to go.

I'm a full on skint bastard mate I'm afraid, I won't even be able to afford to be 25 'til I'm 30. It's going to be August at the earliest before I start repairing my car! Otherwise I'd have loved to go.

Another show, another club stand, this time EC, this is becoming a habit! Same as Unique show Cars, we were made very welcome by Hilly and everyone else at EC and even though it pissed it down a few times I have burnt my nose. When the sun was out it was hot hot hot. I must have leathered the car 4 times yesterday after every down pour, but it all paid off, the judges must have seen the dedication because we came away with another 1st place trophy in "Class W" which IIRC was Moddified cars after 80s but dont quote me. And Carl came away with 3rd too so a good day all in all. So for all you fibreglass and chrome haters........where's your trophy biatches? lol

actually alan there is similarties between the norris evo and bigcab.

the norris evo gets driven hard and usually gets stacked and big cab gets driven hard it will break down.

was a good day all round apart from the weather!

as for standing with EC... always welcome guys! you know that! was good to see some old faces again.....

Bit gutted we didnt win stand of the show though, still cant believe the Capri owners club won with all 6 of there cars!!!! oh well, win some lose some i guess.

Thats a bit harsh al know you`re only jokin but its just a taste thing innit,if im totally honest it aint my thing,really admire the work thats gone into it and cool that its still winning stuff,i`d probably find the build pics interesting as its good to see mad cars put together, just prefer the more natural look of motors-i like mods that arent immediately noticeable just subtle stuff.

As for reliability its got a rs engine aint it-nuff said to be honest only trouble i had we mk3 escorts were the bodywork in particular the floor,bought a series 2 escort rst an the only trouble i had were engine box an turbo-bodywork were fine pmsl

I thought it was a good show all in all, I took around 100 pictures so as soon as I get the memory stick of Al i'll post a few up.

It was intended to be light hearted and I suppose rereading it, it was a bit sharp, lol.....but......I do mean it. TBF it wasnt aimed a people like you Dave, who know what style they like and stick with it. It was more for the sheep that read something in a mag, then go on and on and on and on about BigCab and the like being so 2004 and the scene changing yada yada fuckin yada, baaaa baaaa fuckin baaaaa. It's all bollox. If that is the case, why is BigCab winning more trophies now than it did in 2004? Why do I shit myself a every show when I cant even see the car because there's douzens of people crouded round it. Sorry for going on but it pisses me off some what when Clare starts to believe the crap that people keep spouting.

I was happy this morning, I'm pissed off now. lol.

Unfortunately there is no build photos. The kit was bought 10 years ago and didnt take any photos.
