* Report / Photos* Brid Cruise 2009

Not a bad turn out to given the short notice. We all met up at ED for 2ish and eventually left at 2.45pm. For some reason we decided that everyones sat nav knew nothing and totally ignored them. Set off towards M1 for a 'lively' drive up M1/A1 link road (ignoring the satnav's advice of the M18) and across to the seaside. We eventually arrived at Brid 125 miles later about 4.45pm WITHOUT Pyro. We'd lost him and NO-ONE had his number. Ooops. A bit of a ring round and I got his number off Ollie and we soon rounded him up, he'd been for fuel. lol. Randomly Smithy found us before Pyro did and he'd made his own way there. lol.

We now had a few hours to do the seaside stuff so we went and took over a small cafe for dinner, did a bit of 2p slots and went for some waffles and icecream. (n.b. Parking in Brid is poor to shite)

8pm came round and we all set off to the cruise 5 mins from seafront and pleasently supprised. An really good locaton, with already loads of car parked up. There was Police preasence, but they happy to leave us all to it. Suppose it stops all the dickin around.

Cheer up love, it might never happen!!






Set off back about 9.45pm to only get 10 yards, Nel accelataor cable snapped. We all managed to pitch in and temporarily mended the cable with tie wraps, wire and electric tape enough to give him half throttle and about 3000rpms, enough to get us home comfortably. We decided to trust the sat navs on the way home and saved about 35/40 miles.

All in all, a good day and a pritty good cruise.
