*Report* 750 Motor Club Races - Mallory Park

firstly, Usually this weekend would have been spent in a field in Poddington attending USC, and to be honest im a little gutted as its the first ive missed since 03!

But with a look at the weather, the lack of people going and the sheer cost (it would have cost £150+ for me for the weekend) i decided i wasnt gonna go.

Instead i spent £12 going to Mallory Park to watch Various forms of motorsport including Bike engined cars, homebuilt, golf GTI cup, MG trophy and VAG championship...But most Importantly, Stock Hatch

Now if you have spent any time near to me, coop, matty, widdo or screech you may be familliar with Stock Hatch. Its a formula that allows 1.6 8v and 1.4 16v cars to compete with very limited mods making for great close racing

And close it was, literally 2 heats of 35+ cars (there are over 105 cars in the championship!!!!!!) and a final of bumper to bumper racing

Litterally every car was touching another, bumpers, wing mirrors and various bits of trim littered the track every single lap and more paint was traded than i have ever seen!

the ones in front were very quick and the ones not so blessed with talent or speed made up for it with balls!

Absaloute fantastic racing, no less than 5 cars (as the photos show) were written off, and battles lasted the whole race!

Not to bypass the other events, the Golf GTi event was even closer and had a big crash in the last race, full of mk2 GTi's that me and coop decided were deceptivly quick!

The MG trophy had all kings of things, Midgets, MGB GT, MGB GT V8!, ZR, ZS, TF metro GTa and even a montego estate!

And the other catagories certainly were entertaining and loving the noise of the bike engined machines!

Really enjoyed today at Mallory Park managed to see nearly all the crashes unlike Ollie and Coop !!

Had a good day yesterday with Ollie and Hayley. Racing was good and was mostly close. Was impressed with the Golf GTI's and V.A.G trophy. Stock Hatch was epic and there is afew less Saxo's in the world now after they decided the best thing to do is crash into each other. Saw a couple of crashes but not as many as Hayley!

Anyway a couple of pics for now........................
