Right then ladies and gentlemen as you may or may not be aware, my girl is going to be back on the road (before 26th of this month).
Just ordered and delivered is a new fuel tank which is being fitted (very kindly) by my favorite bloke
She needs to visit the ramps to see what else she needs for MOT etc, I'm shitting it to be honest as she's been stood for 10 months now
Hopefully once she's back I'll be going for a very subtle kit (pics below), as some of you are aware, I've been after this one for a long long time. Then it's colour change time, but I'm STILL stuck, lord knows, ut I need to put some thought into it first.
Will be keeping chromes but with a view to going smaller deeper (more euro to the delight of a lot of people), in the future.

Watch this space, although not too closely, it's going to take time!

Not a fan of the kit sarah if im honest but hey im sure it will come out sweet
Nice to see an original maxxd icon car back on the road
but the E word.....
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

Thanks for the words of wisdom Lee, but, I'm keeping the mudflaps, brows, Reg number and sunstrip (purely because it's easier on my eyes when I drive.)
Paintwork has a few scabs on it now on one back arch and a bit on the boot lid so it deffo needs doing.
You also suspect wrong, the interior is in good nick, factory fitted, black recaro leather so I'll be keeping that too. I think darker windows suit darker coloured cars, so they'll stay if I keep the car dark.
Suspension needs replacing really, it's not stiff enough for my liking, but that can wait.
Yep there's a lot of work ahead, but then again that's somthing you have to expect not buying a factory standard car ey
One question to "throw out there" if my car is lowered to suit 18's and I go to 15's or 16's, will it need adjusting?

Depends on the tyres really. If you choose a higher profile tyre on 16"s, then the side wall will be larger and closer to the original diameter with the 18"s on. If you catch my drift. If you go for 16"s and keep low profiles on (like a 35) then you'll probably want to lower her a bit more to close up the arch gap.

Hmmmm, I get you!
It won't be for a while yet anyway, it needs money spending on it wisely over the next few months to get her running well.
I can tell you this though, I am SOOOOOO excited about getting her back

I was merely offering you some of my superior knowledge on modifying (as highlighted by my mag features/tv features etc etc) thats all.
Im just trying to get you away from the "Standard car with a fancy paint job" look its currently got thats all. Id be linched alive by Type r purists if i tarnished my DC5 with a big sunstrip, headlight eye brows and mud flaps.
