Awww m8.
Can't say in words how happy I am for you to have got it running again. Been a long time coming and I look forward to parking it next to one of mine at a future Maxxd VW meet.
Glad to have donated some small parts to the cause. Let me know if you need anything Caddy specific as I know where there is one in bits.

RE: *Member* Olstars 1989 Volkswagen Caddy
UPDATE!
newth, stu and mr M came round to my house on wednesday evening..
Armed with welders, grinders and shit loads of tools n stuff!
First on the list was the steel bar across the bed that is gonna be used to make a box in the back, so theiving pikey scum cant steal my shit again!
Newth kindly donated (shit, in fact do i owe you anything for that dude?) a piece of box section steel, and scott and stu started cutting it to size, and welding it in the caddy.
Meanwhile newth wired up the relay and the thingybob switch (so if i crash it turns my fuel pump off) to my fuel pump.. so just by turning the key -it works!
NOTE - my battery is fucked, so in order for me to run it i have to jump start it - ANYONE GOT A DECENT BATTERY LYING ABOUT THEY DONT WANT????
Once newth had fnished under the engine, we moved on to the airbags..
The tank had all its new shiney fittings put on, and we connected everything up. I am still missing the outputs from the tank to the solenoids and the solenoids themselves.. But we capped that end of the tank so we could leak test..
Found a few leaks.. more PTF tape.. jobs a gooden!
We tested the pressure switch, and it appears to not quite be up to the task..
But we are gonna slam a switch into the wiring so i can just turn it off so its not flicking the compressor on and off and on and off all the time.
We cant bolt the tank or compressor in to the back until the box is made, fixed in and waterproofed..
I have been paid again today, so hopefully i can get the sheets of steel i need this weekend - Anyone have any lying about? Cash waiting!
As soon as the box is built. and my solenoids arrive, we can put everything in permanently, wire it up, then the final testing.. THE AIRBAGS!
If all go's to plan.. The caddy will be moving for mid week.. (both forwards and reverse, and up and down )
Worst case senario.. My airbags are fucked and they go BANG when i send air to them!
DUbmodder!
Ring me dude!!!
Pics to come when stuff starts getting bolted in!

Need alloy wheels?
Need modified car parts or performance car parts?
