it's getting closer, we were playing with some new toys last night. fingers crossed, i'll be bending his chassis in the next week or two!

Process of deduction:

#1 Newth HAS eat all the pies and intends to squat in the load area?

or

#2 Flicky flippy hydraulic switchbox is the new toy?

RE: *Member* Olstars 1989 Volkswagen Caddy

basically we tested all my solenoids on one of newths airbags he has lying about Icon_smile

they work WELL - once we had blanked one of the ports off anyway Icon_lol

it took us like, an hour to figure that out Icon_lol

it kept dumping all the air in the tank.. which we didnt want!

gotta get the pipes and fitments from the tank, to the solenoids..

AND THEN IM GOOD TO GO!

Icon_biggrin

Oh, and a BIG thank you to scott for sourcing me a dash insert.. its like NEW and is gonna mean i can start fitting my retro sterio and the switches for lights and heaters n shit Icon_biggrin

RE: *Member* Olstars 1989 Volkswagen Caddy

RIGHT!

Newth took me to T, V & F for the last of the bits to go from the tank, to the solenoids!

We went back to his house, and sealed all the joints.. we also put all the wiring on the solenoids and heatshrinked them so its all proper Icon_smile

I am literaly waiting for someone to come and cut my metal so it can be welded in place, then can start fitting all the stuff to in the box..

I need to pick up 5 guages and 4 switches sometime this week

Saw some cool ones in maplins but they were a bit small.. Im after something a bt bigger else i will break them off whilst flippin switches Icon_smile

wahey!

A big thanks to stu after i dragged him up on sunday morning after a hardcore poker night the night before...

We went to KP welding (i think thats what it is called? next to mini marquees) and bought some angle iron, and cracked on with building a frame..

Cut the metal for tha panels

Poured hammerite on everything Icon_lol

Now i can start mounting the good stuff!
