as some of you no, i had a 1.25 zetec fiesta, well now thats gone, and i have a 1.8 astra sport. just been out this morning and took some photos for you all to look at.
but first a little info bout it
as i said its a 1.8 16v 3DR sport,
Its got 38k miles on a S plate,
Its a rareish model because its got both Air conditioning and a Sunroof,
Its got electric windows,
Its got power steering,
Its got a CD player with remote buttons on the steering wheel,
Its got Traction Control,
Its got the standard 6 spoke alloys,
Its got 4 Air bags,
And its also got standard sports seats, with lumber support and extentioner.
I paid £1950 for it, its book price is £2300 because of its mileage, only marks on it is a bumper scuff on rear right corner, but will tea cut out, and there is a crack on the mirror cover were it got hit by another car, but i can get another cover off the internet.
Heres the pictures

got a few plans for now, like irmsher grill, multispoke alloys hopefully sri astra ones, i want standard headlights but i want the ones with the dark inserts. im either thinking of getting the slighly darker rear lights or some sort of cluster ones, gonna get the rear 3 windows tinted with dark smoke, new back box either irmscher twin or a single 3 inch. gonna get a spoiler fitted and get b and t to spray and fit it. either a pipercross or k and n induction kit. thats all i can think of, off top of my head.

ive had a look at your thread mate, looks good, acept the tow bar lol.. i was thinking of a induction kit, but ive been reading around, and people are telling me for performance and that to derestrict the air box and put a performance filter in and put a vectra c intake pipe on, they suggest that because they say theres well to much heat from the engine, im thinking of getting it lowered but no sure how much, because it looks low to start with, been reading the manual for this car, and the chassis and the suspension is made by lotus lol. oh i found out that its got 123 bhp and 0-60 in 9.5 secs lol..

yeah, the 1.8 is 123bhp
i would be tempted by de-restricting the airbox and adding a panel filter over the induction kit! the MAF sensors on the ecotec's dont really like the change.... theres a few "how to's" knockin round if ya need any advice....
also, the suspension is lotus tuned, but not massively! best bet is to get springs as a cheap mob, if its performance you want then full shockers/coliovers is the best bet...
its a nice clean motor you got, good luck with it

you remove the lower pipework IIRC so it uses the full box space....
one other optio worth considering is getting a closed air induction kit, pipercross viper or BMC but there mega expensive!

ok, just read on another forum, that when you derestrict it, theres like 2 little cones you take out, which makes more air flow in quicker

do you think de restricting the air box will increase bhp at all? maybe like 1 bhp or summat, or just increase the acceleration? do you think the difference will be noticeable?
